On-site inspection workflow

Asbestos inspection software for site and office

Record condition, extent and evidence at the item while you are stood in front of it — then produce the report from the same record. Built for asbestos surveyors.

Inspection notes should become the report, not feed it

Most inspection time is lost twice: once writing notes on site, and again rebuilding them into a document in the office. Structured capture removes the second pass — the inspection record already contains everything the report needs.

  • Structured condition and extent fields per ACM
  • Photos bound to the item they evidence
  • Priority scoring applied consistently
  • Recommended actions and timescales captured on site
  • Office review before anything is issued
  • No retyping between site notes and report

A structured workflow, end to end

Room-by-room inspection

Work through the building adding rooms and items in the order you walk them.

Evidence at capture

The camera launches from the item record, so photos never end up in an unlabelled folder.

Consistent scoring

Material assessment fields are the same for every inspector, so risk language does not drift.

Reports from the record

Executive summary, register and action plan are derived from the inspection data.

Tablet and phone ready

Installs from the browser as a progressive web app — no app store approval needed.

Office review gate

Inspections move through draft, office review and issue, so nothing reaches a client unchecked.

One inspection. Multiple professional reports.

A single inspection produces the survey report, the ACM register, a management summary and an action plan — all from the same structured data, so the documents cannot contradict each other.

Practical limits worth knowing

  • Sampling and analysis remain with your accredited laboratory
  • The software does not certify surveyor competence
  • Report content is your professional opinion, not generated advice
  • Bulk historic data migration is handled case by case
  • Offline capture syncs when a connection returns
  • Client-facing branding is configured per organisation

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an inspection and a survey?

A survey establishes what asbestos-containing materials are present and where. An inspection is usually a later condition check against materials already recorded. AsbestosSurveyPro supports both against the same property record.

Can inspections be carried out on a tablet on site?

Yes. The capture interface runs as a progressive web app on tablets and phones, so condition, extent and photo evidence are recorded at the item, not written up later.

Does an inspection update the existing register?

Yes. Condition changes and revised recommended actions are written back to the ACM record, so the register reflects the most recent inspection.

Can several inspectors work in the same account?

Yes. Multi-user plans give each inspector their own login inside a shared organisation workspace with office review and issue control.

Does the software determine whether a material contains asbestos?

No. Identification, sampling decisions and analysis remain the responsibility of the competent surveyor and the accredited laboratory. The software records and structures those findings.
